Gourds, a member of the squash family, have
been used for thousands of years as containers, musical instruments,
and spiritual objects. With proper care, this unique piece
of art will give you many years of enjoyment.
- Avoid displaying your gourd in direct sunlight. We use
the best UV light blocking finishes available, but colors still
may fade over time.
- Handle your gourd carefully as gourds can crack or break
if dropped.
- To dust your gourd, use a soft cloth slightly dampened
with water; avoid harsh cleaners and waxes. For the rough
interior, you can blow out accumulated dust with a can
of compressed air.
- Unless specifically noted, our gourds are not food safe,
so use a cloth liner for serving food and avoid heating
the gourds in a microwave or oven.
